Посол України в ОБСЄ Ігор Прокопчук стверджує, що Бюро з демократичних інституцій та прав людини (БДІПЛ) ОБСЄ, попри запит Росії, не надішле спостерігачів на вибори до російського парламенту, що відбудуться, серед іншого, в анексованому Криму.

Про це він заявив журналістам у Києві, повідомляє кореспондент "Європейської правди".

"Ті вибори, які проводяться на території РФ, з точки зору БДІПЛ не можуть стосуватися Криму.

Країни можуть запросити БДІПЛ на вибори, але тільки на свою територію. Позиція БДІПЛ – вони не братимуть участі у спостереженні за виборами, що проводяться на території Криму", - заявив дипломат.

Посол не став прогнозувати, як це вплине на визнання повноважень парламенту РФ в цілому.

Він водночас нагадав, що у схожій ситуації з представником Криму в Раді федерації РФ органи ОБСЄ відмовилися визнавати повноваження лише депутата з анексованої території.

"У лютому минулого року, коли до складу парламентської делегації в асамблеї ОБСЄ було включено особу, яка є представником окупованої території, на засіданні Бюро ОБСЄ було одноголосно ухвалене рішення про невизнання повноважень цієї особи, а також їй не дали візу для в’їзду в Австрію", - наголосив Ігор Прокопчук.
