Наголошується, що Обама зробить таку заяву у відеозверненні, яке опублікують у вівторок.

Раніше Байдена підтримав його ключовий суперник по кампанії - сенатор від Вермонту Берні Сандерс.

Байден вже обговорював питання про кандидатуру віцепрезидента з Обамою і шукав поради у тих, хто керував його відбором у 2008 році – у тому самому році, коли квиток віцепрезидента дістався саме Байдену. Минулого тижня Байден сказав донорам, що порада Обами частково полягала у тому, щоб знайти людину з досвідом, якого немає у Байдена.
