Як пишуть ЗМІ, німецьке федеральне управління кримінальної поліції підтвердило, що має в розпорядженні документи і проведе детальну оцінку матеріалів, які налічують мільйони сторінок.

Журналісти з посиланням на урядові джерела повідомляють про 5 млн євро. Поліція зазначила, що перевірка даних з Panama Papers, ймовірно, займе кілька місяців.

Як відомо, з однієї з найбільш засекречених компаній світу – панамської юридичної фірми Mossack Fonseca — стався виток 11 мільйонів документів. Завдяки масштабному витоку стало відомо, як багаті та впливові особи використовують офшорні зони, щоб приховати свої статки. Серед фігурантів у справі так званих панамських документів є прізвища і провідних європейських високопосадовців.
