Американская ежедневная газета The New York Times теперь будет развозить еду. Таким образом, издание продолжает искать пути повышения своих доходов на фоне падения бумажной версии газеты, передает Телекритика.

По словам вице-президента по развитию бренда NYT Элис Тинг, аудитория газеты тратит много времени на приготовление пищи на своих кухнях. «Так что для нас это прекрасная сфера, чтобы попробовать», — отмечает она. Тинг считает, что данный проект станет достаточно успешным.
 
Блюда будут готовится по рецептам, представленым в профильном разделе издания. Доставлять ингредиенты для готовки издание намерено совместно со стартапом Chef'd, который обещает довезти их до заказчика в течение 48 часов. Выручку от продаж они будут делить пополам.
 
Напомним, в прошлом году NYT пыталось реализовать проекты по проведению публичных лекций, создать винный клуб и интернет-магазин, в котором можно купить брендированную одежду издания и прочую атрибутику. Достаточно успешным был проект газеты по запуску собственного туроператора — Times Journeys. В общей сложности это принесло совместной компании $95 млн.
