Генерал армії у відставці Петр Павел виграв президентські вибори у Чехії.

У другому турі виборів генерал НАТО у відставці набрав понад 57% голосів на більш ніж трьох чвертях підрахованих дільниць, і вже очевидно, що його конкурент, колишній прем’єр-міністр та мільярдер-популіст Андрей Бабіш з руху ANO не зможе його обійти. 

Після підрахунку голосів з майже 94% дільниць Павел отримав 57,5%. 

За проміжними підсумками, на дільниці прийшли майже 70% виборців, які мають право голосу.  Це рекордна явка. 

8 березня Павел змінить Мілоша Земана на посаді глави держави.

Колишній голова військового комітету НАТО Петр Павел переміг у всіх регіонах, крім чотирьох, повідомляє Aktuality. Він лідирував від самого початку підрахунку голосів. Найбільший відсоток Павел набрав у Празі - більше трьох чвертей голосів. Бабіш отримав найбільшу підтримку в Моравсько-Сілезькому та Устецькому краях.
