Премьер-министр Украины Денис Шмыгаль заявил, что сейчас нет оснований говорить, что местные выборы в Украине осенью не состоятся.

"Мы сегодня не видим причин и возможностей для переноса местных выборов. Я настаиваю на том, что они будут", – сказал премьер в интервью телеканалу "Перший західний", 

С другой стороны, продолжил он, эпидемическая ситуация во всем мире непрогнозируемая, нельзя исключать никаких сценариев.

"Вероятность, что в нашей жизни будут изменения, в том числе связанные с выборами, существует. Ни одно правительство в мире сегодня не прогнозирует дольше, чем на 100 дней. Но сегодня мы полноценно готовимся к выборам, средства выделены, с Центральной избирательной комиссией мы постоянно работаем", – сказал он.

Местные выборы в Украине должны пройти 25 октября. Решение о проведении выборов Верховная Рада должна принять не позднее, чем за 90 дней до дня голосования. Избирательный процесс стартует за 50 дней до выборов. По данным Центральной избирательной комиссии, на проведение выборов необходимо 2,252 млрд грн, тогда как в бюджете на избирательный процесс запланировано 1 млрд грн. ЦИК призвал правительство и парламент предусмотреть дополнительное финансирование в размере 1,252 млрд грн.
