Хакера, який завдав понад 3 млрд грн збитків країнам Європи й Північної Америки, судитимуть в Україні 

Чоловік входив до складу угруповання, яке атакувало промислові підприємства у Франції, Німеччині, США, Норвегії, Нідерландах і Канаді, використовуючи віруси. Вони взламували акаунти співробітників, викрадали інформацію, зашифровували компʼютери, після чого вимагали викуп у криптовалюті.

Зокрема, внаслідок кібератаки підприємство з Норвегії зазнало майнової шкоди на суму в 8,9 мільйонів Євро. Хакери заблокували та зашифрували понад 4000 інформаційних систем, після чого вимагали 2500 біткоїнів (еквівалент 348 млн грн) за розблокування. 

Найактивніший член угруповання - 49-річний киянин. У вересні 2024 поліцейські завершили досудове розслідування відносно нього та скерували обвинувальний акт до суду. Йому загрожує до дванадцяти років позбавлення волі з конфіскацією майна.
