Мешканці румунського міста Девеселу на місцевих виборах повторно переобрали на посаду свого мера, попри те, що за 10 днів до голосування він помер від коронавірусу.
Про це повідомляє "Європейська правда" з посиланням на румунське "Радіо Свобода".
57-річний Іон Аліман (на фото - праворуч) висувався вже на третій свій термін як міський голова Девеселу, від партії соціал-демократів (PSD). На початку вересня він захворів на коронавірус, а 17 вересня помер у лікарні в Бухаресті.
Аліман мав двох живих суперників. Попри це, люди все одно підтримали померлого міського голову - за нього віддали 1020 голосів з 1600.
Після переконливої перемоги виборці відвідали його могилу, щоб привітати міського голову і вшанувати його пам’ять.
Тепер вибори міського голови проводитимуть повторно. До цього обов’язки виконуватиме заступник мера.
