На двосторонній зустрічі у Парижі президент Франції Еммануель Макрон і прем’єр-міністр Великої Британії Тереза ​​Мей уклали британсько-французький пакт про обмеження поширення онлайн-ненависті

Цим документом запроваджено правову відповідальність Інтернет-компаній, якщо вони не в змозі видалити провокаційний вміст, пишеЕспресо.ТВ із посиланням на  The Guardian.

Президент Франції назвав угоду "дуже конкретним планом дій по припиненню джихадистської пропаганди в Інтернеті".

Окрім того, Макрон сказав, що обидві країни "зобов’язуються покращити доступ до зашифрованих даних за умови збереження конфіденційності повідомлень".

За словами Мей, нова ініціатива дозволятиме тиснути на такі компанії як Google і Facebook, якщо вони не протидіятимуть екстремістському змісту.

Мей заявила, що Велика Британія рішуче налаштована "зупинити поширення екстремістських матеріалів і отруйної пропаганди, яка змінює молоді уми".

Спільна британсько-французька домовленість "гарантуватиме, що Інтернет не буде використаний у якості безпечного місця для терористів і злочинців", сказала Мей.

"Важливо зазначити, що наша кампанія також включатиме у себе запровадження юридичної відповідальності технологічних компаній у разі, якщо вони не в змозі будуть прийняти необхідних заходів для усунення неприпустимого контенту", - додала вона.
