Автори фільму "Свободу Олегу Сенцову" зазначають, що документальна стрічка про режисера є не просто політичним розслідуванням несправедливості у сучасній Росії, а є абсурдною і страшною історією в стилі Кафки про те, як кожен може стати жертвою бездушної державної машини.

У фільмі будуть розкрити обставини затримання Сенцова. Також відомі люди прокоментують своє ставлення доцієї ганебної ситуації.

Продюсери сподіваються зібрати за допомогою краудфандінга суму в $13 700, необхідну для фінансування роботи над картиною.

На захист Олега Сенцова виступали такі відомі кінематографісти, як Педро Альмодовар, Вім Вендерс, Майк Лі, Кен Лоуч, Агнешка Холланд, Акі Каурісмякі, Фолькер Шлендорф, Бела Тарр, Стівен Долдрі, Кшиштоф Зануссі, Анджей Вайда і Бертран Таверньє.

Нагадаємо, що кримчанин, відомий режисер Олег Сенцов був заарештований в Сімферополі 11 травня 2014, після чого його перевезли до Москви і звинуватили в підготовці терористичного акту.
