Действующий президент Белоруссии Александр Лукашенко зарегистрирован кандидатом на очередных президентских выборах, которые пройдут 11 октября.

Данное решение принято на заседании Центральной избирательной комиссии (ЦИК) республики, передает Корреспондент.

 В поддержку выдвижения кандидатом действующего главы государства в территориальные комиссии было сдано и признано достоверными более 1,7 млн подписей.

Лукашенко принимает участие в выборах президента Белоруссии уже в пятый раз. До этого он побеждал на выборах в 1994, 2001, 2006 и 2010  годах. По итогам предыдущей избирательной кампании Лукашенко получил поддержку 79,6% проголосовавших на выборах избирателей.

 Конкуренцию в нынешней президентской кампании ему составят активистка гражданской кампании «Говори правду» Татьяна Короткевич, председатель Либерально-демократической партии Белоруссии Сергей Гайдукевич и лидер Белорусской патриотической партии Николай Улахович.
