Уряд Литви відмовився від ідеї введення онлайн-голосування на виборах через зростаючі загрози кібератак і втручання Росії у вибори інших країн.

Про це пише "Європейська правда", посилаючись на національну телерадіокомпанію LRT.

У середу уряд вирішив відмовитися від ідеї розробки системи онлайн-голосування та внесення поправок до законів про вибори, щоб впровадити електронне голосування.

У 2018 році кабінет міністрів Литви схвалив законопроєкт про створення системи онлайн-голосування та направив його на розгляд до парламенту.

Прихильники законопроєкту вважали, що онлайн-голосування допоможе збільшити явку виборців.

Міністр юстиції Ельвінас Янкявічюс повідомив у вівторок, що, за домовленістю, яка була досягнута, Сейм не ухвалюватиме законопроєкт.

Раніше литовський парламент вже провалив кілька законопроєктів про впровадження онлайн-голосування.
