Представники кримськотатарського народу ініціюють перейменування АР Крим у "Кримсько-татарську національну Автономну республіку"

Про це сьогодні на прес-конференції розповів один із лідерів кримськотатарського народу Мустафа Джемілєв, передає УНН.

Він зазначив, що дане питання він особисто обговорював із Президентом України Петром Порошенко.

"Ми говорили з ним про це у Варшаві 3 червня. Згідно з усіма міжнародними нормами, Автономна республіка має бути національно-територіальною - тобто Кримськотатарською автономною республікою", - сказав Джемілєв.

За його словами, для кримських татар це питання є важливим, однак не вкрай принциповим, адже, за його словами, "головне - не стільки назва, головне - зміст, наповнення".

Він додав, що дуже важливим є і те, щоб кримськотатарська мова набула статусу офіційної на півострові.

"Має бути механізм захисту прав корінного народу, тому одним із головних елементів має стати функціонування кримськотатарської мови як однієї із офіційних мов півострова із напрацюванням механізму забезпечення представництва корінного народу, щоб він міг захищати свої права", - зазначив Джемілєв.
