Компанія Facebook отримала сотні прохань посилити заходи безпеки даних користувачів після того, як розробник програмного забезпечення Реза Моаіандін показав, що він може з легкістю отримати доступ до даних користувачів соціальної мережі, просто вгадавши номер телефону, передає Media Sapiens.
 
 

Розробник зміг отримати доступ до особистих даних, фотографій та місць розташування тисяч користувачів соціальної мережі, які прив'язали свій профіль до номера телефону, але не зробили його публічним. На думку експерта з безпеки, хакери можуть використовувати цю прогалину у системі захисту даних для того, щоб зібрати дані, а потім продавати їх на чорному ринку. 

Експерт з безпеки, який знайшов лазівку в системі, зміг зробити це за допомогою маловідомої функції Facebook, яка дозволяє знайти користувача, просто вказавши його номер телефону.
