Користувачі Facebook зможуть самі визначати неприпустимий контент в своїй стрічці новин. Про це написав голова соцмережі Марк Цукерберг у своєму відкритому листі, пише Media Sapiens.

 

Соцмережа має намір дати кожному користувачеві можливість самостійно встановити фільтри щодо дорослого контенту, мови воржнечі, насильства тощо. За замовчуванням в акаунті будуть встановлені налаштування, які обрала більшість людей у зазначеній країні. Змінити їх можна буде в будь-який момент. При цьому Facebook буде враховувати місцеве законодавство. Новий підхід дозволить Facebook встановити локальні норми і визначити межі дозволеного для кожного користувача окремо.

«Для когось пости на політичні теми можуть бути нормою, але при цьому контент сексуального характеру є неприпустимим. Для когось нормальними будуть публікації з оголеними тілами, але ця людина не захоче бачити в стрічці мову вороженчі», - наводяться приклади в листі.

Процес виявлення забороненого контенту все ще буде здійснюватися за допомогою штучного інтелекту. Але Марк Цукерберг сподівається, що з часом алгоритми Facebook навчаться розрізняти нюанси і бачитимуть різницю між пропагандою тероризму та новиною про терористичні атаки.

Нагадаємо, минулого тижня засновник Facebook Марк Цукерберг оголосив про зміни в форматі Facebook  - від соцмережі для друзів і сім'ї до розвитку глобальної соціальної інфраструктури. Він виділив п'ять основних напрямків для роботи Facebook у майбутньому - розвиток взаємної підтримки, забезпечення безпеки, інформованості, громадянської активності та залучення представників різних культур і поглядів.
