 Cоцмережа Facebook планує додати функції, які дозволять всім бажаючим допомагати людям, які постраждали від стихійного лиха, -  повідомляє BBC


Представництво компанії повідомило, що планується розширити функціональність сервісу Safety Check. Відповідний сервіс самостійно переходить в активний режим, якщо фіксується надходження великої кількості повідомлень про якесь лихо з одного регіону. Віднині кожен, хто опиниться в подібній місцевості матиме змогу запропонувати іншим користувачам соціальної мережі Facebook допомогти їм, вказавши заздалегідь в чому є потреба: продукти харчування, напої, транспорті засоби чи місце, де можна заночувати. Сторінка цієї опції Community Help буде мати розподіл на окремі категорії: одяг, речі для дітей, харчі для тварин тощо. Також передбачається, що ця функція зможе допомогти підтримувати зв'язок з жертвами різноманітних катастроф та страшних подій. 

Спочатку даний сервіс працюватиме в обмеженому режимі для проведення попереднього тестування і подальшого виправлення недоліків. Тестовий режим буде доступний в разі фіксування природних катастроф для жителів США, Канади, Австралії, Нової Зеландії, Індії та Саудівської Аравії. Після попереднього використання сервісу очікується виправлення недоліків розробниками та запуск опції для всіх користувачів з різних куточків планети.
