Skype запустила сервис Translator ("переводчик"), позволяющий в реальном времени переводить речь во время разговоров.

Как следует из официального сообщения компании, услуга будет доступна для шести языков: английского, французского, немецкого, итальянского, китайского и испанского, сообщает ВВС

"В компании давно мечтали сломать языковой барьер между пользователями", - утвреждают в Skype.

Skype Translator использует технологии распознавания речи и автоматического перевода. Кроме того, отличительной чертой является машинное обучение: то есть чем больше человек будет пользоваться севисом, тем корректнее перевод будет работать. Также компания запускает автоматический перевод текстовых сообщений - сервис будет поддерживать более 50 языков.

Новая функция появится в ближайшие несколько недель на платформах Windows. Когда функция будет доступна на других платформах, не сообщается.

Skype - сервис обмена мгновенными сообщениями и видеозвонками. Права на программу принадлежат компании Microsoft.
