Американська геймдев-компанія Electronic Arts зареєструвала новий патент з наміром дозволити гравцям самостійно озвучувати персонажів у відеоіграх, пише Insider Gaming.

У новому патенті описується система (її можна побачити нижче), яка дозволить гравцям записати голос через синтезатор. Далі голосові дані проходять проходить через конвертер і, зрештою, потрапляють у саму гру через вокодер.

«Надано комп’ютерно реалізований метод генерації звуку мовлення у відеогрі. Метод включає введення в модуль синтезатора вхідних даних, які представляють мовний контент… Цільові акустичні характеристики обробляються одним або декількома модулями, щоб відтворити звук мовлення голосом гравця», 

— йдеться в анотації до патенту.

Окрім запису голосу ця система також дозволяє обробляти текстові вхідні дані. Це дозволить гравцям писати фрази, які вони хочуть озвучити вустами свого персонажа.

Чому це цікаво?

Технологія розпізнавання голосу не нова у світі геймінгу, а от розпізнавання і внутрішньоігрове відтворення може привернути неабияку увагу. Реєстрація патенту ще не означає, що EA одразу почне інтегрувати цю технологію у наступних релізах. Однак, це може свідчити про те, що гейміндустрія досі активно розвивається і рухається в бік інтерактивності, спираючись на вибір та голос гравця.
