Влада Північної Кореї найняла екс-працівників Комітету державної безпеки радниками з питань забезпечення безпеки глави КНДР Кім Чен Ина. Про це повідомило авторитетне японське видання Asahi Shimbun з посиланням на анонімне джерело. Журналісти газети наголошують, що надавати консультації охоронцям Кім Чен Ина будуть біля десяти колишніх співробітників відділу по боротьбі з тероризмом. Скоріше за все, мається на увазі сьомий відділ другого головного управління КДБ. Співробітники даного управління здійснювали контррозвідку. 

Asahi Shimbun зазначає, що колишні агентів КДБ отримали запрошення до Пхеньяну в лютому поточного року. Їхнє головне завдання – навчити охоронців Кім Чен Ина, як уникнути терористичних актів та яким чином діяти під час нападів. Джерело японського видання зазначило, що північнокорейське керівництво особливо зацікавлене у способах захисту від замахів із застосуванням новітнього американського зброї - зокрема, безпілотників.

Раніше чинний глава Білого дому Дональд Трамп висловив думку, що лідер Північної Кореї Ким Чен Ин став ставитися до США із значно більшою повагою.
