Міський голова Києва Віталій Кличко розповів, що не приєднався до партії мерів, тому що буде балотуватися на місцевих виборах із власною партією "Удар", лідером якої він є.

Про це повідомив Кличко під час брифінгу 22 червня

"Я багато років є лідером політичної сили "УДАР", що завжди боролась і відстоювала демократичні європейські цінності. І, як уже говорив, висуватимусь в мери від своєї політичної сили. А також поведу команду на місцеві вибори, зокрема, - в Київраду.

Так, ми спілкуємося щодо співпраці демократичних сил з різними політиками і з різними партіями. Ми в команді зважували всі можливі варіанти і ухвалили рішення йти своєю політсилою...

А те, що там хтось говорить, ніби я хотів бути головнішим і таке інше - повна нісенітниця. Мені вистачає регалій і титулів".

При цьому Кличко заявив, що готовий співпрацювати з усіма демократичними силами, які "діятимуть за правилами і порядно".

19 червня у Києві презентували політичну партію "ПроПозиція" – так звану партію мерів, адже її створюють міські голови.

У презентації взяли участь міські голови Дніпра Борис Філатов, Миколаєва Олександр Сєнкевич, Чернівців Олексій Каспрук, Житомира Сергій Сухомлин, Кропивницького Андрій Райкович, Каховки Андрій Дяченко.
