З 11 жовтня в Казахстані припиняється мовлення восьми телеканалів, серед яких Russia Today, RT Documentary і RT Documentary HD, а також Bloomberg, «Білорусь 24», KBS World, ATV ТВ і TV5.

Вони не зареєстрували свої представництва в Казахстані, як того вимагає законодавство, і тому вилучені з пакетів цифрового кабельного та супутникового мовлення.

Інформацію прокоментувала прес-служба телеканалу RT. Вона зазначила, що в Казахстані змінилося законодавство - тепер воно зобов'язує іноземний телеканал реєструвати місцеве представництво у співпраці з казахстанським партнером (при цьому останній повинен мати мажоритарний статус). «Ми порахували витрати недоцільними на даний момент, тим більше що у RT немає новинного мовлення як російською, так і казахською мовами», - заявила глава прес-служби Алла Зеленова, пише «Азербайджанский взгляд».
