Кандидат у президенти США від Демократичної партії сенатор Берні Сандерс переніс серцевий напад. 

Його штаб підтвердив це у п'ятницю після того, як він виїхав з медичного центру лікарні "Дезерт-Спрінгз" у Лас-Вегасі, повідомляє CNN.

"Я хочу подякувати лікарям, медсестрам та персоналу медичного центру лікарні "Дезерт-Спрінгз" за відмінний догляд, який вони надавали", - сказав Сандерс у своїй заяві. "Після двох з половиною днів перебування в лікарні я почуваюся чудово. Після короткого відпустки я з нетерпінням чекаю повернення на роботу".

Лікарі Сандерса підтвердили, що сенаторові встановили діагноз "інфаркт міокарда" і йому поставили два стенти у заблокованій коронарній артерії, зазначивши, що "всі інші артерії були нормальними". 

Пізніше в п'ятницю Сандерс написав твіт, щоб подякувати своїх прихильників за підтримку.
