В Канаде возник дипломатический скандал из-за высказывания министра по вопросам иммиграции Криса Александера, который назвал президента РФ Владимира Путина террористом,об этом сообщает Капитал

Как уточняется, данное заявление представитель канадского правительства сделал еще 22 февраля, выступая перед Конгрессом украинцев Канады.

«Это (конфликт в Украине) самая большая проблема, с которой сталкивается мир сегодня, на мой взгляд», — отметил он.

«Я думаю, что это мнение нашего премьер-министра и нашей команды», — сказал Александер.

«Да, это терроризм. Владимир Путин ведет себя как террорист», — подчеркнул он.

Посольство РФ в Канаде через месяц — 23 марта — разместило ролик с выступлением канадского министра на своей странице в Twitter и отметило, что это похоже на «пятиминутку ненависти» по Оруэллу.

«Вряд ли это похоже на искусство дипломатии», — отметили в посольстве.

«Ваше вторжение в Украину привело к 14 месяцам смерти. Сколько еще „аншлюсов“ запланировал Путин?» — ответил посольству Крис Александер.

Стоит отметить, что представители канадского правительства — едва ли не наиболее критичны по отношению к действиям российской власти.
