Несколько тысяч человек приняли участие в манифестации на центральной площади Мадрида Пуэрта-дель-Соль, выступая с требованием провести референдум о введении в Испании республиканской формы правления, пишет НР. Главные демонстрации прошли вечером в понедельник в Мадриде на площади Пуэрта-дель-Соль, где собрались более 20 тысяч демонстрантов, и в Барселоне на площади Каталония.

Как сообщалось, король Испании Хуан Карлос отрекается от престола в пользу сына - принца Фелипе.

Коалиция «Объединенная левая» и ряд других левых партий заявили о том, что отречение короля предоставляет хорошую возможность для демократического преобразования страны в республику, для чего необходимо провести всенародный референдум.
