Верховний представник ЄС із зовнішньої політики Федеріка Могеріні заявила, що "голосування стало новою перешкодою на шляху до миру".

За її словами, вибори лідерів самопроголошених Донецькій і Луганській народних республік є "незаконними і нелегітимними", і Європейський Союз не буде їх визнавати,пише ВВС Україна

У Донецьку, за попередніми даними, перемагає нинішній лідер сепаратистів Олександр Захарченко - він набрав понад 80% голосів. В Луганську лідирує Ігор Плотницкий, який останнім часом очолює сепаратистів "ЛНР". За нього проголосували понад 60% жителів.

Президент України Петро Порошенко назвав "вибори", що минули, "фарсом під дулами танків і автоматів", який становить загрозу для миру в Україні.

Москва раніше оголосила, що визнає легітимними результати голосування на підконтрольних сепаратистам територіях.
