«Ми можемо пишатися тим, що Apple є нашим ексклюзивним партнером», - сказав виконавчий директор HBO Річард Плеплер (RichardPlepler), анонсуючи новий сервіс під час заходу AppleSpringForward, що відбувся днями у Сан-Франциско.

За його словами користувачі матимуть доступ до всіх відомих оригінальних програм HBO: минулих, нинішніх і майбутніх.

«Все, що вам потрібно, аби скористатися HBO Now, - це високошвидкісний інтернет-зв'язок та пристрій Apple», - додав Плеплер.

Раніше для доступу до телевізійних шоу компанії необхідно було укладати контракт на кабельне телебачення. Для користування HBO Now такої вимоги не висувають.

Про плани запустити потоковий сервіс Річард Плеплер розповідав ще восени 2014 року.
