Британська газета The Guardian присвятила матеріал українській виконавиці

Джамалі та її виступу на відбірковому турі до міжнародного пісенного конкурсу "Євробачення".

Про це повідомляє depo.ua з посиланням на theguardian.com.

У матеріалі наголошується, що пісня "1944" розповідає про депортацію татар при Сталіні. При цьому наголошується, що представники кримськотатарського народу, які знаходяться в Криму, не змогли взяти участь в голосуванні через російську анексію 2014 року.

"Я знаю, що багато хто з моїх шанувальників знаходиться в Криму. Багато людей писали мені, що вони будуть відправляти повідомлення так чи інакше, тому що вони підтримують мене. Кажу їм, що вони витрачають свої гроші і їхні голоси не враховуються, але вони говорять мені, що вони все одно відправляють їх ", - цитує слова Джамали видання.

Нагадаємо, лідер кримськотатарського народу Мустафа Джемілєв вважає, що пісня Джамали підніме питання окупованого Криму на новий рівень.
А Меджліс просить організаторів дозволити жителям Криму голосувати на відборі "Євробачення".
