После громкого заявления о причастности к убийствам подозреваемых в наркоторговле над президентом Филиппин Родриго Дутерте нависла угроза импичмента.

Оппозиционные политики в Филиппинах уже заговорили о возможном проведении процедуры импичмента президента. Так, по словам сенатора Лейлы де Лимы, в случае если заявление президента Филиппин Родриго Дутерте окажутся достоверными, то это может быть основание для импичмента.

"Тяжелые преступления являются основанием для импичмента, и это прописано в конституции", - заявила сенатор.

Напомним, что речь идет об эпизодах, когда Родриго Дутерте являлся мэром города Давао.

Как сообщал "Апостроф", ранее неизвестный совершил покушение на президента ФилиппинРодриго Дутерте, подорвав рядом с кортежем политика самодельное взрывное устройство.
