24 лютого Громадська рада при Державному комітеті телебачення і радіомовлення ухвалила рішення про створення комісії зі свободи слова в Україні. Комісія розглядатиме питання перешкоджання журналістській діяльності, цензури тощо.

Громадська рада у повному складі увійшла до складу цієї комісії. Раніше подібні комісії створювалися при Адміністрації Президента України,пише Телекритика

Також члени Громадської ради обговорили питання щодо здійснення контролю за забезпеченням розпорядниками інформації доступу до публічної інформації. Доповідач з цього питання юрист Держкомтелерадіо Ганна Красноступ повідомила, що Комітет підготував проект Закону «Про внесення змін до деяких законодавчих актів України щодо здійснення державного контролю за забезпечення розпорядниками інформації доступу до публічної інформації», який оприлюднено на офіційному сайті. Вона закликала громадськість взяти участь в обговоренні цього законопроекту.

Крім того члени Громадської ради розглянули питання про необхідність внесення змін до законопроектів про видавничу справу, телебачення і радіомовлення.
