В ходе нового исследования американские исследователи из Йельского университета выяснили, что поиск информации в интернете повышает самооценку.

Исследователи из Американской психологической ассоциации из Йельского университета провели эксперимент, в котором приняли участие 302 добровольца. В результате удалось выяснить, что пользователи поисковых систем склонны преувеличивать собственные умственные способности и завышать оценку своего интеллекта, пишет Новое время

Авторы исследования, результаты которых были опубликованы в научном журнале Journal of Experimental Psychology: General, решили выяснить, какое влияние на познания человека оказывает постоянный поиск информации в поисковых системах.

Научный эксперимент показал, что получение информации из поисковых систем заставляет людей ошибочно думать о том, что они стали умнее. Также поиск информации в сети повышает самооценку, создавая иллюзию накопления знаний – в реальности, убеждены авторы исследования, пользователи путают свои собственные знания с теми, что были получены извне, но прочно не усвоены.
