Відомий інтернет-сервіс Google maps на своїх картах знову перейменував українські міста та села.

Таким чином, він їх знову "комунізував", повідомляє ТСН

Відтак, місто Олешки в Херсонській області Google maps позначене Цюрюпинськ, а місто Покровськ Донецької області - Красноармійськ, а всім відомі Горішні Плавні в Полтавській області знову стали Комсомольском.

Варто зазначити, що нещодавно Google Maps відмовився від перейменування населених пунктів окупованого Росією Криму. Сервіс повернув низці міст назви, які були до ухваленого Верховною радою закону про декомунізацію.

Так, Красноперекопськ, який мав отримати назву Яни Капу, підписаний назвою, яка була до закону про декомунізацію.  

Примітно, що якщо шукати населений пункт за новою назвою, сервіс знаходить його, але відображає із старий варіант. Це стосується української та російської версій.
