Вперше в Голлівуді відбудеться фестиваль, де покажуть найкращі українські фільми,повідомляє Cultprostir. Ідея заходу належить продюсеру українцеві Анатолію Фрадіс, що був народжений в Одесі, але вже більше тридцяти років живе у США. 

З 8 по 14 травня в Беверлі-Хіллз покажуть 16 ігрових, а також дві класичні стрічки. Більшість фільмів знята в радянський час і лише чотири, створені в період незалежності України. Серед останніх кінострічок: фільм «Плем'я», «Брати. Остання визнання», «Той, хто пройшов крізь вогонь» і документальний фільм про Ларису Кадочникову. 

Як зізналася Лариса Кадочникова: «Прийдешня поїздка до Голлівуду − і відповідальність, і іспит, а також дитяча мрія, пов'язана з символами та ідолами «фабрики мрій», а також можливість побачити Голлівуд і поспілкуватися з американцями, яким цікаво українське мистецтво. Це прекрасна можливість творчого діалогу між Україною та Сполученими Штатами Америки».

Урочисте відкриття фестивалю відбудеться в кінотеатрі Laemmle Music. У ньому візьмуть участь режисер Роман Балаян, кінокритик і сценарист Сергій Тримбач, кінознавець і телеведучий Євген Женин.

Фільми будуть демонструватися мовою оригіналу з англійськими субтитрами. Організатори попереджають, що в програмі можливі зміни та доповнення.
