Глава РПЦ Патриарх Кирилл после встречи из Вселенским Патриархом Варфоломеем уехал из Стамбула не с чем. Уехал сразу же после того, как Патриарх Варфоломей сообщил ему, что решение о предоставлении томоса об автокефалии Украинской церкви имплементируется независимо от политических заявлений России и Сербии.
Комментируя новость, украинский политолог Алексей Голобуцкий отметил, что Патриарх Кирилл даже не успел задействовать полностью привезенные группы провокаторов «украинских радикалов»: разве несколько кремлевских «сливных бачков» успели дать краткую информацию. Следовательно, есть основания считать, что свою позицию Варфоломей изложил достаточно жестко и однозначно, в том числе по манипулированию Кремлем марионеточного сербского патриарха Иринея. Возможно, даже выразил вполне конкретное недовольство политизацией РПЦ и действиями лично Кирилла, с соответствующими кадровыми выводами.
Голобуцкий пишет, согласованный процесс предоставления томоса продвигается согласно стандартной процедуре. Украине наконец-то удастся обезопасить свое духовное, политическое, общественное пространство от враждебного воздействия агента агрессора.
