19 березня Міністр закордонних справ України Павло Клімкін прийняв Представника ОБСЄ з питань свободи ЗМІ Дуню Міятович.

Сторони детально зупинилися на можливостях залучення потенціалу інститутів ОБСЄ, в тому числі Представника ОБСЄ з питань свободи ЗМІ, до врегулювання ситуації в нашій країні, забезпечення прав журналістів та свободи ЗМІ, зокрема, на окупованій території АР Крим та в окремих районах Донецької та Луганської областей, які перебувають під контролем незаконних збройних формувань.

В ході зустрічі було висловлено занепокоєння у зв’язку з використанням Росією ЗМІ та пропаганди як зброї в агресії проти України, а також переслідуванням незалежних журналістів в тимчасово окупованому Криму.

Міністр запевнив, що влада України робить все необхідне для забезпечення в українському суспільстві свободи слова та захисту журналістів.
