Министр иностранных дел ФРГ Франк-Вальтер Штайнмайер считает, что Украине необходимо основательно подготовиться к проведению местных выборов в ряде районов Донецкой и Луганской областей. Об этом он заявил во время переговоров насчет ядерной программы Ирана в Лозанне, пишет "ТАСС".
Глава МИД Германии отметил, что "есть много открытых вопросов, которые должны обсуждаться в рамках рабочих групп внутри контактной группы" по урегулированию ситуации в Украине. "Это больше не терпит отсрочек", - заявил Штайнмайер, призвав провести "скорейшую основательную подготовку к местным выборам" на Донбассе.
Напомним, согласно принятому Верховной Радой закону об особом статусе отдельных районов Донецкой и Луганской областей, особый статус территориям предоставляется лишь после проведения местных выборов. Во время избирательного процесса обязательным является и соблюдение стандартов ОБСЕ по проведению демократических выборов. 21 марта президент Украины Петр Порошенко не исключил, что местные выборы на Донбассе пройдут в 2015 году.
