Редагувати метадані опублікованих посилань - заголовок, опис і зображення - зможуть тільки сторінки, що належать ЗМІ. Решта сторінок зможуть керувати тим, як відображаються поширювані посилання, за допомогою розмітки OpenGraph й інструменту Facebook Crawler. Але редагувати вже опубліковані посилання вони не зможуть, передає Media Sapiens

За допомогою цих змін Facebook намагається закрити один з каналів для поширення фейків, йдеться у блозі компанії. Окрім того, компанія обіцяє блокувати можливість редагувати метадані до посилань для тих сторінок, які будуть порушувати правила використання цього інструменту, наприклад викривлюватимуть зміст публікації чи поширюватимуть матеріали, що порушують стандарти спільноти Facebook.

 

Видання  TechCrunch демонструє як за допомогою редагування заголовка й опису в посиланні на Facebook можна створити фейк. 

«Протягом наступних кількох місяців ми побачимо, наскільки ефективно цей інструмент налаштування контенту працює для видавців та чи покращує він якість інформації на Facebook» - зазначила команда соцмережі.

Нагадаємо, раніше Facebook запровадив нові попередження про фейкові новини. Компанія оголосила про співпрацю із незалежними організаціями, що спеціалізуються на фактчекінгу - ABC News, AP, FactCheck.org, PolitiFact та Snopes. Біля новин на Facebook, які містять неперевірену або неправдиву інформацію, тепер з’являтиметься позначка «спірний контент» з посиланням на організації, які здійснювали верифікацію новини. Якщо користувач клацне на нотифікацію, з’явиться спливаюче вікно із більш детальною інформацією про новину.
