Программа настроена на поиск новых терминов, аббревиатур и других неологизмов с неустоявшимся пока значением, которые используют определенные группы пользователей.

Как сообщает Business Insider, все находки она будет заносить в специальный «социальный словарь», передает Телекритика. Пользователи с помощью опросов сами смогут решать, добавлять ли туда новые слова

В качестве примера неологизмов в патенте приводится слово rickroll, образованное от слова «троллинг» и имени «Рик». «Рикроллить» значит присылать ссылку на клип Рика Эстли «Never Gonna Give You Up» в тот момент, когда собеседник ожидает чего-то совсем другого.

На обновления социального словаря Facebook будет предусмотрена платная подписка для сторонних компаний.

Представители социальной сети пока не объяснили, как будут использовать это новшество.

Напомним, Facebook подтвердил через суд право требовать регистрации под настоящими именами. Соответствующее решение вынес суд в Гамбурге, руководствуясь ирландским законодательством.
