Запрещенная в Украине Коммунистическая партия на своем пленуме выдвинула кандидатом в президенты Украины несменного лидера украинских коммунистов Петра Симоненко. В то же время, координатор гражданской сети «Опора» Ольга Айвазовская в эфире «Громадського радио» высказала мнение, что общественники действительно подтверждают факт выдвижения Симоненко в президенты, но есть все перспективы, что этот кандидат не будет зарегистрирован, - сообщает PRпортал.

По словам Ольги Айвазовской, этот отказ может быть определенным инструментом для дискуссий политических, но геополитического уровня. Ведь это же не новость, что во время предыдущих кампаний Коммунистическая партия пыталась участвовать в выборах, но в связи с изменениями в законодательстве, процессами декоммунизации участие в выборах стало невозможным. 

В то же время, Ольга Айвазовская отмечает, что есть представление в суд в контексте конституционности данного закона, но суд до сих пор не принял свое решение, поэтому действуют действующие нормы о том, что Коммунистическая партия подпадает под действие закона о декоммунизации.
