Соцмережа Facebook не працює проти американської влади, а під час президентських виборів 2016 року поширювала інформацію, корисну для виборців.
 

Про це засновник Facebook Марк Цукерберг написав на своїй сторінці у Facebook, передає Еспресо.ТВ

Він відповів на заяву президента США Дональда Трампа стосовно того, що Facebook завжди був проти нього. За його словами, соцмережа насправді мала іншу роль у виборах 2016 року, ніж та, про яку всі говорять.

Зокрема, у соцмережі були мільярди взаємодій, під час яких обговорювали проблеми, які, можливо, ніколи не порушували в онлайн-режимі. Обговорювалася кожна тема, а не тільки те, що охоплювали ЗМІ. 

"Кампанії витратили сотні мільйонів на рекламу в інтернеті, щоб поширити свої меседжи серед виборців. Ми допомогли зареєструвати на голосування до 2 мільйонів людей", - наголосив Цукерберг. 

Він додав, що команда Facebook буде й надалі працювати на тим, щоб забезпечити чесність вільних і справедливих виборів у всьому світі.

Зазначимо, що напередодні засновник соцмережі Facebook Марк Цукерберг заявив, що Росія створювала фейкові акаунти для поширення у соцмережі політичної реклами під час останніх виборів президента США.
