Новинний і розважальний бізнеси будуть розділені на дві окремо взяті незалежні структури, пише Media Sapiens

BuzzFeed Entertainment Group об'єднає кіностудію BuzzFeed Motion Pictures, а також весь розважальний контент (рейтинги, тести, відео). А BuzzFeed News буде відповідати за новинний контент. 

Першу компанію очолить Зе Франк (Ze Frank), який до цього керував кіностудією Motion. Новинним бізнесом Buzzfeed опікуватиметься головний редактор і один із засновників BuzzFeed Бен Сміт (Ben Smith).

Генеральний директор компанії Джона Переті (Jonah Peretti ) прокоментував реструктуризацію BuzzFeed як «шанс стати краще як в мультимедійному, так і новинному бізнесах».

Як писав MediaSapiens, BuzzFeed запустивпершого політичного репортера-бота. Бот, розроблений Buzzfeed Open Lab, може вести прості розмови з користувачами. Редакція використовувала його для збору новин про Республіканську національну конвенцію 18-21 липня в США.
