Про це повідомляє The Guardian.

За його словами, Росія незаконно отримала конфіденційні документи про плановану угоду про вільну торгівлю з США і поширювала їх в мережі через платформу Reddit.

"Майже напевно російські структури намагалися втрутитися у загальні вибори 2019 року через поширення в мережі незаконно придбаних урядових документів", - сказав міністр закордонних справ.

Домінік Рааб наголосив, що уряд Британії залишає за собою право на відповідь в майбутньому.

Нагадаємо, що 12 грудня 2019 року у Великій Британії відбулися дострокові вибори в парламент.

За підсумками голосування Консервативна партія на чолі з прем'єр-міністром Борисом Джонсоном отримала більшість в британському парламенті.

Прем'єр-міністр Борис Джонсон закликав до дострокових виборів, коли стало ясно, що він не зможе виконати свою обіцянку вивести Британію з ЄС 31 жовтня.
