Президент США Джо Байден розглядає можливість балотуватися на цю посаду у 2024 році.

Про це він заявив під час першої пресконференції.

Журналістка запитала у Байдена, чи буде він говорити про те, що збирається на другий президентський термін, як це робив його попередник Дональд Трамп.

“Так, я хотів би. Я думаю, що я буду переобиратися”, – сказав Байден і посміхнувся. Він наголосив, що це лише “припущення”, а не точна заява і твердження.

Також Байден підтвердив, що якщо буде обиратися, то з Камалою Гарріс, як кандидатом на пост віцепрезидента. Він назвав її “прекрасним партнером”.

На питання журналістки про те, чи буде його головним опонентом Дональд Трампа – Байден розсміявся. Він сказав, що не знає про те, що станеться через три – чотири роки.

І чи буде взагалі існувати ще Республіканська партія. Зараз Байдену 78 років.

Він увійшов в історію, як найстаріший президент США. У 2024 році Байдену буде 82 роки, а на момент закінчення другого президентського терміну – 86 (в США не дозволено обиратися на третій і наступні терміни).
