Бывший вице-президент США Джо Байден, который будет баллотироваться на пост президента от Демократической партии в 2020 году, в третьем квартале этого года собрал всего 15 млн долларов на свою избирательную кампанию. Как информирует PRпортал, со ссылкой на Elections Central, эксперты отметили, что эти результаты очень низкие для основного претендента на пост президента США. 

По сравнению со вторым кварталом этого года сборы снизились на рекордные 35%. Как утверждают специалисты, самую большую сумму за последнее время удалось собрать Берни Сандерсу - 25 млн долларов. Эксперты уверяют, что представители Демократической партии должны уже сейчас задуматься об основном претенденте на должность президента, поскольку Джо Байдену будет очень трудно обойти своего основного конкурента от республиканцев Дональда Трампа. 

«Размеры поступлений в предвыборные фонды в летние месяцы снижаются у многих претендентов, однако заметное сокращение поступлений в фонды Байдена разрушает сложившееся о нем представление как о лидирующем претенденте и заставляет задуматься как активистов Демократической партии, так и тех, кто ее финансирует и заинтересован прежде всего в претенденте, который способен одолеть на выборах Дональда Трампа», - отмечают специалисты.
