Американский подросток нашел в СМИ телефонный номер главы Пентагона Джеймса Мэттиса и сумел взять у него интервью для школьной газеты. Об этом пишет газета New York Post.

Увлекающийся журналистикой Тед Фишер увидел номер мобильного телефона на фотографии в статье газеты Washington Post. На снимке один из сотрудников Секретной службы держит в руках бумагу, на которой можно разглядеть имя министра обороны и его телефонный номер. Позднее редакторы удалили этот снимок из материала.

Затем Фишер отправил Мэттису SMS, в котором сообщил, что его номер стал достоянием общественности, и попросил об интервью, на которое министр согласился. В течение 45 минут они обсуждали широкий спектр вопросов, от влияния госсекретаря Хиллари Клинтон на Барака Обаму, до выделения средств на обучение детей в пораженных войной Афганистане, Сирии и Ираке.

«Вся эта история представляла собой череду чудес», — поделился с журналистами Фишер.
