Интернет-компания Amazon стала первой, кому американские власти разрешили использовать беспилотники для доставки своих товаров. Об этом говорится в сообщении Федерального авиационного управления (ФАУ) США.
Такое решение ФАУ приняло "в виде исключения" из общего правила, которое пока запрещает широко использовать беспилотники в американском небе, передает ТАСС.
Проект Amazon получил название "Prime Air" и позволит покупателям получать заказы всего за полчаса. Дроны будут поднимать в воздух посылки максимальной массой 2,3 килограмма. Amazon уже провел ряд подобных экспериментов на своих предприятиях в Сиэтле.
Ранее разрешение применять беспилотники в коммерческих целях получили чуть более десятка американских компаний. Речь, в частности, идет о нескольких фирмах, специализирующихся на аэрофотосъемке и сотрудничающих с теле- и кинокомпаниями.
