Ролик триває 2 хвилини, в ньому показана вся 12-річна еволюція найпопулярнішого у світі відеохостингу.

На початку ролика продемонстровано момент запуску платформи в 2005 році, коли вона була схожа на звичайну пошукову систему, яка не відрізнялася від інших існуючих на той момент в мережі. 

На початку своєї роботи на YouTube переважали звичайні домашні відео і лише пізніше, приблизно за два роки, з'явилися акустичні кавер-версії відомих пісень, а також юмористичні відео від користувачів.
