104-річна американка Дороті Хоффнер стрибнула з парашутом і поки що неофіційно встановила світовий рекорд.

Дороті здійснила стрибок з висоти 4 100 метрів у тандемі з інструктором у комплексі Skydive Chicago в штаті Іллінойс, повідомляєThe Guardian та Chicago Tribune.

Тепер жителька Чикаго сподівається отримати офіційне підтвердження від Книги рекордів Гіннеса, що вона найстаріша людина, яка коли-небудь стрибала з парашутом.

"Вік – це лише число", – сказала Дороті Хоффнер радісному натовпу через кілька хвилин після приземлення.

Дороті Хоффнер вперше стрибнула з парашутом, коли їй було 100 років. Коли вона робила це вперше, її "довелося виштовхувати" з літака. 

Але цього разу жінка наполягла на тому, щоб самій керувати стрибком з висоти 4 100 метрів.

Вона виглядала спокійною і впевненою, коли літак піднявся в повітря, а потім успішно стрибнула з парашутом і провела у небі 7 хвилин.

"Там було чудово. Все було чудово, краще й бути не могло", – сказала Дороті.

Тепер жінка, якій у грудні виповниться 105 років, хоче політати на повітряній кулі.

Раніше світовий рекорд Гіннеса для найстаріших парашутистів встановила 103-річна Ліннеа Інгегард Ларссон зі Швеції – вона стибнула з парашутом у тандемі 29 травня 2022 року. 

Але Skydive Chicago працює над тим, щоб Книга рекордів Гіннеса визнала стрибок Дороті рекордним.
