Основатели джинсового бренда Guess Морис и Пол Марчиано создают частный музей современного искусства в Лос-Анджелесе

Об этом пишет Газета.ru со ссылкой на The New York Times. Как отмечает газета, братья являются настолько активными коллекционерами, что места для новых арт-объектов у них уже нет. Поэтому Марчиано решили выставить свое собрание в отдельном музее.

Братья приобрели здание на бульваре Уилшир за $8 млн. Посетители увидят в этом особняке как коллекцию Марчиано, так и выставки местных художников. Главное внимание будет уделено начинающим мастерам.

По прогнозам, музей откроется в течение ближайших 18 месяцев. График работы выставочного комплекса пока неизвестен. По словам Мориса Марчиано, центр не будет работать ежедневно, поскольку для этого требуется большое число сотрудников.

Марка Guess была создана в 1981 году четырьмя братьями Марчиано. В общей сложности личные коллекции Пола и Мориса, их совместное собрание, коллекция Guess и коллекция их арт-фонда насчитывают около 1 тыс. предметов искусства.
