Бывший мэр Москвы Юрий Лужков в интервью газете  Ведомости рассказал, что считает решение бизнесмена Михаила Прохорова отказаться от участия в выборах столичного градоначальника ошибкой.

По мнению Лужкова, после отказа Прохорова предстоящие выборы потеряли всю интригу: "В связи с его отказом ситуация, конечно, стала неинтересной. Выборы - серьезная вещь только в том случае, когда есть два или несколько равнозначных соперников. Сегодня вся интрига сдулась, почти обнулилась и стала неинтересной".

По мнению экс-мэра столицы, отказ Прохорова от участия в выборах "ослабил" его перспективы как политика.

Лужков также отметил, что в российской политике сейчас не появляется новых ярких фигур, и это, в любом случае, плохо.

Что касается Алексея Навального, по мнению Лужкова его можно считать скорее "виртуальным соперником, а не реальным конкурентом на этих выборах".
"Я знаю, что он прославился тем, что назвал Единую Россию партией жуликов и воров. Но зато громко сказано (...). Действительно, люди готовы за него проголосовать, но только в режиме протеста. Не за Навального, а против сегодняшней ситуации в городе", - отметил Лужков.
