За півгодини до початку сесії міськради на площі перед держустановою зібралися активісти ГО «Рідний Кіровоград», аби передати свої «подарунки» чиновникам у знак протесту проти проведеної транспортної реформи у Кіровограді.

Представники громадської організації заїхали до площі біля міськради на імпровізованому візку із відром оселедців попереду - подарунком, який і збиралися вручити активісти «батькові» кіровоградської транспортної реформи у Кіровограді Володимирові Каніщеву.

Відро на вигляд свіженького й апетитного, до речі, зовсім не дрібного, оселедцю збиралися віддати особисто у руки, проте охоронці не пустили, мотивувавши тим, що міська рада - не їдальня. Володимир Каніщев до протестників вийшов, проте рибного продукту до рук не взяв і жодним чином не відреагував на те, що діялося.

Активісти ГО «Рідний Кіровоград» також намагалися передати листа із проханнями спробувати хоча б на день стати подібним оселедцем у кіровоградському громадському транспорті і зробити все ж таки транспортну реформу народною - як мінімум, повернути маршрути № 1, 9а, 50, 120. Пізніше Володимир Каніщев таки отримав листа від громадян. 

 Володимиру Каніщеву відро з оселедцями таки передали. Заступник мера на закиди, "кіровоградці, які їздять в маршрутках, нагадують оселедців" відповів коротко: "Я согласен!"
